Important Considerations When Choosing Safety Work Boots :

Work safety boots are a protective, technical product designed to reduce accident risks and increase productivity. Therefore, there are some factors to consider when purchasing them.

These elements are listed as follows :

1. RISK ANALYSIS

Every company has different risks depending on its work environment. Work safety boots are manufactured with numerous options to find the right solution for different risks. When purchasing work safety boots, these risks should be analyzed by a committee established at the workplace, and the boot that will provide the solution should be chosen. In addition, consultation services should be obtained from expert customer representatives, and if possible, the work environment should be shown to them. It is particularly important to take advantage of the free trial samples provided by the customer representative, and after the on-site committee conducts a cost-benefit analysis, to decide which product is more economical for the business. Using the wrong product without conducting a risk analysis of the work environment will neither reduce the risk of accidents nor provide any protective features. Therefore, an expenditure made in this way is unlikely to meet expectations. To ensure that the risk analysis is carried out correctly, detailed and accurate answers should be given to the questions asked by expert salespeople, and the work environment should be shown to them if possible.

2. CE LABEL

Work safety boots must have a CE mark. When purchasing work safety boots, it is also important to ensure that the information on the CE mark is accurate and complete.

3. CERTIFICATE

Products claiming to comply with the SRC slip standard must have the SRC designation on their certificates. Product certificates must be obtained from institutions approved by the EU. TSE (Turkey), SATRA (UK), CTC (France), and RICCOTEST (Italy) are some of these institutions.

These certificates can be distinguished by the "EC Type Certification" inscription. The certificate must specify all material properties of the boots, especially the protective toe cap.

A separate certificate is mandatory for each product group. Therefore, you must check that the model name on the certificate exactly matches the name of the model you wish to purchase.

Materials like steel noses have separate certifications. Caution should be exercised against the presentation of these certifications as if they belonged to the product itself.

Boots, especially those with antistatic and dual-density soles, should meet at least the O4 standard.
